SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MVD (mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase, also called MDDase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MVD qPCR Primer Set – mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase
Also known as: FP17780, MDDase, MPD, POROK7
About this gene: The enzyme mevalonate pyrophosphate decarboxylase catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate pyrophosphate into isopentenyl pyrophosphate in one of the early steps in cholesterol biosynthesis. The MVD gene product decarboxylates and dehydrates its substrate while hydrolyzing ATP.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4597; HGNC ID: HGNC:7529; UniProt: P53602; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002461.3; Chromosome location: 16q24.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
