SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MUC4 (mucin 4, cell surface associated, also called ASGP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MUC4 qPCR Primer Set – mucin 4, cell surface associated
Also known as: ASGP, HSA276359, MUC-4
About this gene: The major constituents of mucus, the viscous secretion that covers epithelial surfaces such as those in the trachea, colon, and cervix, are highly glycosylated proteins called mucins. These glycoproteins play important roles in the protection of the epithelial cells and have been implicated in epithelial renewal and differentiation. MUC4 encodes a integral membrane glycoprotein found on the cell surface, although secreted isoforms may exist.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4585; HGNC ID: HGNC:7514; UniProt: Q99102; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018406.7; Chromosome location: 3q29
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
