SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MUC16 (mucin 16, cell surface associated) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human MUC16 qPCR Primer Set – mucin 16, cell surface associated
Also known as: CA125
About this gene: MUC16 encodes a protein that belongs to the mucin family. Mucins are high molecular weight, O-glycosylated proteins that play an important role in forming a protective mucous barrier, and are found on the apical surfaces of the epithelia. The MUC16 protein is a membrane-tethered mucin that contains an extracellular domain at its amino terminus, a large tandem repeat domain, and a transmembrane domain with a short cytoplasmic domain.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 94025; HGNC ID: HGNC:15582; UniProt: Q8WXI7; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001401501.2; Chromosome location: 19p13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
