SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MTIF2 (mitochondrial translational initiation factor 2, also called Mt) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MTIF2 qPCR Primer Set – mitochondrial translational initiation factor 2
About this gene: During the initiation of protein biosynthesis, initiation factor-2 promotes the binding of the initiator tRNA to the small subunit of the ribosome in a GTP-dependent manner. Prokaryotic IF-2 is a single polypeptide, while eukaryotic cytoplasmic IF-2 is a trimeric protein. Bovine liver mitochondria contain IF-2, an 85-kD monomeric protein that is equivalent to prokaryotic IF-2.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4528; HGNC ID: HGNC:7441; UniProt: P46199; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002453.3; Chromosome location: 2p16.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
