SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MTAP (methylthioadenosine phosphorylase, also called MTAPase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MTAP qPCR Primer Set – methylthioadenosine phosphorylase
Also known as: BDMF, DMSFH, DMSMFH, HEL-249, LGMBF, MSAP, c86fus
About this gene: MTAP encodes a enzyme that plays a major role in polyamine metabolism and is important for the salvage pathway of both adenine and methionine. The encoded enzyme is deficient in many cancers.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4507; HGNC ID: HGNC:7413; UniProt: Q13126; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002451.4; Chromosome location: 9p21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
