SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MMP25 (matrix metallopeptidase 25, also called MTMMP6) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MMP25 qPCR Primer Set – matrix metallopeptidase 25
Also known as: MMP-25, MMP20, MMP20A, MMPL1, MT-MMP 6, MT-MMP6, MT6-MMP, MT6MMP, MTMMP6
About this gene: Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMPs are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. However, the protein encoded by MMP25 belongs to the membrane-type MMP subfamily, attached to the plasma membrane via a glycosylphosphatidyl inositol anchor.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 64386; HGNC ID: HGNC:14246; UniProt: Q9NPA2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_022468.5; Chromosome location: 16p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
