Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MLPH (melanophilin, also called SlaC2-a) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.

Human MLPH qPCR Primer Set – melanophilin

Also known as: SLAC2-A

About this gene: MLPH belongs to the exophilin subfamily of Rab effector proteins. The protein forms a ternary complex with the small Ras-related GTPase Rab27A in its GTP-bound form and the motor protein myosin Va. A similar protein complex in mouse functions to tether pigment-producing organelles called melanosomes to the actin cytoskeleton in melanocytes, and is required for visible pigmentation in the hair and skin.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 79083; HGNC ID: HGNC:29643; UniProt: Q9BV36; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_024101.7; Chromosome location: 2q37.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
