SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ATXN3 (ataxin 3) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ATXN3 qPCR Primer Set – ataxin 3
Also known as: AT3, ATX3, JOS, MJD, MJD1, SCA3
About this gene: Machado-Joseph disease, also known as spinocerebellar ataxia-3, is an autosomal dominant neurologic disorder. The ATXN3 protein containsn repeats in the coding region, and the expansion of these repeats from the normal 12-44 to 52-86 is one cause of Machado-Joseph disease. There is a negative correlation between the age of onset and CAG repeat numbers.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4287; HGNC ID: HGNC:7106; UniProt: P54252; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004993.6; Chromosome location: 14q32.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
