SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MIP (major intrinsic protein of lens fiber, also called MP26) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MIP qPCR Primer Set – major intrinsic protein of lens fiber
Also known as: AQP0, CTRCT15, LIM1, MIP26, MP26
About this gene: Major intrinsic protein belongs to the water-transporting aquaporins as well as the original member of the MIP family of channel proteins. The function of the fiber cell membrane protein encoded by MIP is undetermined, yet this protein is speculated to play a role in intracellular communication. MIP has been mapped among aquaporins AQP2, AQP5, and AQP6, in a potential gene cluster at 12q13.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4284; HGNC ID: HGNC:7103; UniProt: P30301; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012064.4; Chromosome location: 12q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
