Human MINPP1 qPCR Primer Set – multiple inositol-polyphosphate phosphatase 1

Also known as: HIPER1, MINPP2, MIPP, PCH16

About this gene: MINPP1 encodes multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase; an enzyme that removes 3-phosphate from inositol phosphate substrates. The MINPP1 gene product is the only enzyme known to hydrolzye inositol pentakisphosphate and inositol hexakisphosphate. This enzyme also converts 2,3 bisphosphoglycerate to 2-phosphoglycerate; an activity formerly thought to be exclusive to 2,3-BPG synthase/2-phosphatase in the Rapoport-Luebering shunt of the glycolytic pathway.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9562; HGNC ID: HGNC:7102; UniProt: Q9UNW1; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004897.5; Chromosome location: 10q23.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
