SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MIF (macrophage migration inhibitory factor, also called GIF) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MIF qPCR Primer Set – macrophage migration inhibitory factor
Also known as: GIF, GLIF, MMIF
About this gene: MIF encodes a lymphokine involved in cell-mediated immunity, immunoregulation, and inflammation. The MIF gene product is involved in the regulation of macrophage function in host defense through the suppression of anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids. This lymphokine and the JAB1 protein form a complex in the cytosol near the peripheral plasma membrane, which may indicate an additional role in integrin signaling pathways.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4282; HGNC ID: HGNC:7097; UniProt: P14174; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002415.2; Chromosome location: 22q11.23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
