SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MGAT2 (alpha-1,6-mannosyl-glycoprotein 2-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, also called GNT-II) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MGAT2 qPCR Primer Set – alpha-1,6-mannosyl-glycoprotein 2-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase
Also known as: CDG2A, CDGS2, GLCNACTII, GNT-II, GNT2
About this gene: The product of MGAT2 is a Golgi enzyme catalyzing an essential step in the conversion of oligomannose to complex N-glycans. The enzyme has the typical glycosyltransferase domains: a short N-terminal cytoplasmic domain, a hydrophobic non-cleavable signal-anchor domain, and a C-terminal catalytic domain. Mutations in MGAT2 may lead to carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein syndrome, type II. The coding region of MGAT2 is intronless.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4247; HGNC ID: HGNC:7045; UniProt: Q10469; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002408.4; Chromosome location: 14q21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
