Human MFNG qPCR Primer Set – MFNG O-fucosylpeptide 3-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase
About this gene: MFNG belongs to the glycosyltransferase 31 gene family. Members of MFNG family, which also includes the LFNG and RFNG genes, encode evolutionarily conserved glycosyltransferases that act in the Notch signaling pathway to define boundaries during embryonic development. While their genomic structure is distinct from other glycosyltransferases, these proteins have a fucose-specific beta-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase activity that leads to elongation of O-linked fucose residues on Notch, which alters Notch signaling.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4242; HGNC ID: HGNC:7038; UniProt: O00587; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002405.4; Chromosome location: 22q13.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
