About this gene: MFGE8 encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to form multiple protein products. The major encoded protein product, lactadherin, is a membrane glycoprotein that promotes phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. The MFGE8 protein has also been implicated in wound healing, autoimmune disease, and cancer.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4240; HGNC ID: HGNC:7036; UniProt: Q08431; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005928.4; Chromosome location: 15q26.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
