Human MDM4 qPCR Primer Set – MDM4 regulator of p53
Also known as: BMFS6, HDMX, MDMX, MRP1
About this gene: MDM4 encodes a nuclear protein that contains a p53 binding domain at the N-terminus and a RING finger domain at the C-terminus, and shows structural similarity to p53-binding protein MDM2. Both proteins bind the p53 tumor suppressor protein and inhibit its activity, and have been shown to be overexpressed in a variety of human cancers. However, unlike MDM2 which degrades p53, this protein inhibits p53 by binding its transcriptional activation domain.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4194; HGNC ID: HGNC:6974; UniProt: O15151; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002393.5; Chromosome location: 1q32.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
