Human MDH2 qPCR Primer Set – malate dehydrogenase 2
Also known as: DEE51, EIEE51, M-MDH, MDH, MGC:3559, MOR1
About this gene: Malate dehydrogenase catalyzes the reversible oxidation of malate to oxaloacetate, utilizing the NAD/NADH cofactor system in the citric acid cycle. The MDH2 protein is localized to the mitochondria and may play pivotal roles in the malate-aspartate shuttle that operates in the metabolic coordination between cytosol and mitochondria.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4191; HGNC ID: HGNC:6971; UniProt: P40926; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005918.4; Chromosome location: 7q11.23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
