SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MDC1 (mediator of DNA damage checkpoint 1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MDC1 qPCR Primer Set – mediator of DNA damage checkpoint 1
Also known as: NFBD1
About this gene: The MDC1 protein contains an N-terminal forkhead domain, two BRCA1 C-terminal motifs and a central domain with 13 repetitions of an approximately 41-amino acid sequence. The MDC1 protein is required to activate the intra-S phase and G2/M phase cell cycle checkpoints in response to DNA damage. This nuclear protein interacts with phosphorylated histone H2AX near sites of DNA double-strand breaks through its BRCT motifs, and facilitates recruitment of the ATM kinase and meiotic recombination 11 protein complex to DNA damage foci.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9656; HGNC ID: HGNC:21163; UniProt: Q14676; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014641.3; Chromosome location: 6p21.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
