SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SMCP (sperm mitochondria associated cysteine rich protein) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SMCP qPCR Primer Set – sperm mitochondria associated cysteine rich protein
Also known as: HSMCSGEN1, MCS, MCSP
About this gene: Sperm mitochondria differ in morphology and subcellular localization from those of somatic cells. They are elongated, flattened, and arranged circumferentially to form a helical coiled sheath in the midpiece of the sperm flagellum. The SMCP protein localizes to the capsule linked to the mitochondrial outer membranes and is believed to function in the organization and stabilization of the helical structure of the sperm's mitochondrial sheath.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4184; HGNC ID: HGNC:6962; UniProt: P49901; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_030663.3; Chromosome location: 1q21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
