SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MCEE (methylmalonyl-CoA epimerase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MCEE qPCR Primer Set – methylmalonyl-CoA epimerase
Also known as: GLOD2, MCE, MMCE
About this gene: The product of MCEE catalyzes the interconversion of D- and L-methylmalonyl-CoA during the degradation of branched chain amino acids. odd chain-length fatty acids, and other metabolites. Mutations in MCEE result in methylmalonyl-CoA epimerase deficiency, which is presented as mild to moderate methylmalonic aciduria.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 84693; HGNC ID: HGNC:16732; UniProt: Q96PE7; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_032601.4; Chromosome location: 2p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
