Human MCCC1 qPCR Primer Set – methylcrotonyl-CoA carboxylase subunit 1
Also known as: MCC-B, MCCA, MCCCalpha
About this gene: MCCC1 encodes a large subunit of 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA carboxylase. This enzyme acts as a heterodimer and catalyzes the carboxylation of 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA to form 3-methylglutaconyl-CoA. Mutations in MCCC1 are linked to 3-Methylcrotonylglycinuria, an autosomal recessive disorder of leucine catabolism.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56922; HGNC ID: HGNC:6936; UniProt: Q96RQ3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_020166.5; Chromosome location: 3q27.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
