About this gene: MC3R encodes a G-protein-coupled receptor for melanocyte-stimulating hormone and adrenocorticotropic hormone that is expressed in tissues other than the adrenal cortex and melanocytes. MC3R maps to the same region as the locus for benign neonatal epilepsy. Mice deficient for MC3R have increased fat mass despite decreased food intake, suggesting a role for MC3R product in the regulation of energy homeostasis.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
