SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MBP (myelin basic protein) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MBP qPCR Primer Set – myelin basic protein
About this gene: The protein encoded by the classic MBP gene is a major constituent of the myelin sheath of oligodendrocytes and Schwann cells in the nervous system. However, MBP-related transcripts are also present in the bone marrow and the immune system. These mRNAs arise from the long MBP gene that contains 3 additional exons located upstream of the classic MBP exons.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4155; HGNC ID: HGNC:6925; UniProt: P02686; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001025101.2; Chromosome location: 18q23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
