SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MBD4 (methyl-CpG binding domain 4, DNA glycosylase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MBD4 qPCR Primer Set – methyl-CpG binding domain 4, DNA glycosylase
Also known as: MED1, TPDS2, UVM1
About this gene: The MBD4 protein belongs to a family of nuclear proteins related by the presence of a methyl-CpG binding domain. These proteins are capable of binding specifically to methylated DNA, and some members can also repress transcription from methylated gene promoters. The MBD4 protein contains an MBD domain at the N-terminus that functions both in binding to methylated DNA and in protein interactions and a C-terminal mismatch-specific glycosylase domain that is involved in DNA repair.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8930; HGNC ID: HGNC:6919; UniProt: O95243; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001276270.2; Chromosome location: 3q21.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
