SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MAT1A (methionine adenosyltransferase 1A, also called MAT-I/III) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MAT1A qPCR Primer Set – methionine adenosyltransferase 1A
Also known as: MAT, MATA1, SAMS, SAMS1
About this gene: MAT1A catalyzes a two-step reaction that involves the transfer of the adenosyl moiety of ATP to methionine to form S-adenosylmethionine and tripolyphosphate, which is subsequently cleaved to PPi and Pi. S-adenosylmethionine is the source of methyl groups for most biological methylations. The MAT1A protein is found as a homotetramer or a homodimer whereas a third form, MAT II, is encoded by the MAT2A gene.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4143; HGNC ID: HGNC:6903; UniProt: Q00266; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000429.3; Chromosome location: 10q22.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
