SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MARCKS (myristoylated alanine rich protein kinase C substrate, also called PKCSL) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MARCKS qPCR Primer Set – myristoylated alanine rich protein kinase C substrate
Also known as: 80K-L, MACS, PKCSL, PRKCSL
About this gene: The MARCKS protein is a substrate for protein kinase C. It is localized to the plasma membrane and is an actin filament crosslinking protein. Phosphorylation by protein kinase C or binding to calcium-calmodulin inhibits its association with actin and with the plasma membrane, leading to its presence in the cytoplasm. The protein is believed to be involved in cell motility, phagocytosis, membrane trafficking and mitogenesis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4082; HGNC ID: HGNC:6759; UniProt: P29966; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002356.7; Chromosome location: 6q21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
