Human MAPK8IP1 qPCR Primer Set – mitogen-activated protein kinase 8 interacting protein 1
Also known as: IB1, JIP-1, JIP1, PRKM8IP
About this gene: MAPK8IP1 encodes a regulator of the pancreatic beta-cell function. The MAPK8IP1 gene product is highly similar to JIP-1, a mouse protein known to be a regulator of c-Jun amino-terminal kinase. The MAPK8IP1 protein is reported to prevent MAPK8 mediated activation of transcription factors, and to decrease IL-1 beta and MAP kinase kinase 1 induced apoptosis in pancreatic beta cells.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9479; HGNC ID: HGNC:6882; UniProt: Q9UQF2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005456.4; Chromosome location: 11p11.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
