SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MAOB (monoamine oxidase B, also called MAO-B) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MAOB qPCR Primer Set – monoamine oxidase B
About this gene: The MAOB protein belongs to the flavin monoamine oxidase family. The MAOB gene product catalyzes the oxidative deamination of biogenic and xenobiotic amines and is important for the metabolism of neuroactive and vasoactive amines in the central nervous sysytem and peripheral tissues. The MAOB protein preferentially degrades benzylamine and phenylethylamine.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4129; HGNC ID: HGNC:6834; UniProt: P27338; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000898.5; Chromosome location: Xp11.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
