SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MAG (myelin associated glycoprotein, also called Siglec-4a) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MAG qPCR Primer Set – myelin associated glycoprotein
Also known as: GMA, S-MAG, SIGLEC-4A, SIGLEC4, SIGLEC4A, SPG75
About this gene: The MAG protein is a type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The MAG gene product is believed to be involved in the process of myelination. The MAG gene product is a lectin that binds to sialylated glycoconjugates and mediates certain myelin-neuron cell-cell interactions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4099; HGNC ID: HGNC:6783; UniProt: P20916; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002361.4; Chromosome location: 19q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
