SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SMAD2 (SMAD family member 2, also called hSMAD2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SMAD2 qPCR Primer Set – SMAD family member 2
Also known as: CHTD8, JV18, JV18-1, LDS6, MADH2, MADR2, hMAD-2, hSMAD2
About this gene: The SMAD2 protein belongs to the SMAD, a family of proteins similar to the gene products of the Drosophila gene 'mothers against decapentaplegic' and the C. elegans gene Sma. SMAD proteins are signal transducers and transcriptional modulators that mediate multiple signaling pathways. The SMAD2 protein mediates the signal of the transforming growth factor-beta, and thus regulates multiple cellular processes, such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4087; HGNC ID: HGNC:6768; UniProt: Q15796; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005901.6; Chromosome location: 18q21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
