Human LRP5 qPCR Primer Set – LDL receptor related protein 5
Also known as: BMND1, EVR1, EVR4, HBM, LR3, LRP-5, LRP-7, LRP7, OPPG, OPS, OPTA1, PCLD4
About this gene: LRP5 encodes a transmembrane low-density lipoprotein receptor that binds and internalizes ligands in the process of receptor-mediated endocytosis. The LRP5 protein also acts as a co-receptor with Frizzled protein family members for transducing signals by Wnt proteins and was originally cloned on the basis of its association with type 1 diabetes mellitus in humans. The LRP5 protein is central to skeletal homeostasis and many bone density related diseases are caused by mutations in LRP5.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4041; HGNC ID: HGNC:6697; UniProt: O75197; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002335.4; Chromosome location: 11q13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
