Human KCTD17 qPCR Primer Set – potassium channel tetramerization domain containing 17
About this gene: KCTD17 encodes a protein that belongs to a conserved family of potassium channel tetramerization domain-containing proteins. The KCTD17 protein functions in ciliogenesis by acting as a substrate adaptor for the cullin3-based ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E3 ligase, and targets trichoplein, a keratin-binding protein, for degradation via polyubiquitinylation. A mutation in KCTD17 is linked to autosomal dominant myoclonic dystonia 26.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 79734; HGNC ID: HGNC:25705; UniProt: Q8N5Z5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001282684.2; Chromosome location: 22q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
