SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human KCNJ5 (potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 5, also called CIR) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human KCNJ5 qPCR Primer Set – potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 5
Also known as: CIR, GIRK4, KATP1, KIR3.4, LQT13
About this gene: KCNJ5 encodes a integral membrane protein which belongs to one of seven subfamilies of inward-rectifier potassium channel proteins called potassium channel subfamily J. The encoded protein is a subunit of the potassium channel which is homotetrameric. The KCNJ5 gene product is controlled by G-proteins and has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell. Naturally occurring mutations in KCNJ5 are linked to aldosterone-producing adenomas.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3762; HGNC ID: HGNC:6266; UniProt: P48544; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000890.5; Chromosome location: 11q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
