Human KCNJ2 qPCR Primer Set – potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 2

Also known as: ATFB9, HHBIRK1, HHIRK1, IRK1, KIR2.1, LQT7, SQT3

About this gene: Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. The KCNJ2 protein is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel. The encoded protein, which has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell, probably participates in establishing action potential waveform and excitability of neuronal and muscle tissues.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3759; HGNC ID: HGNC:6263; UniProt: P63252; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000891.3; Chromosome location: 17q24.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
