Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ITGB1BP2 (integrin subunit beta 1 binding protein 2, also called Melusin) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human ITGB1BP2 qPCR Primer Set – integrin subunit beta 1 binding protein 2

Also known as: CHORDC3, ITGB1BP, MELUSIN, MSTP015

About this gene: ITGB1BP2 encodes a protein with two cysteine and histidine-rich domains, PXXP motifs, YXXI/P motifs, putative SH2 and SH3 domain binding motifs, and an acidic region at the C-terminus that can bind calcium. Two hybrid analysis showed that this protein interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of the beta 1 integrin subunit and is believed to act as a chaperone protein. Studies in the mouse ortholog of ITGB1BP2 indicate that absence of ITGB1BP2 in mouse leads to failed cardiac hypertrophy in response to mechanical stress.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 26548; HGNC ID: HGNC:6154; UniProt: Q9UKP3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012278.4; Chromosome location: Xq13.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
