Human IDO1 qPCR Primer Set – indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1
Also known as: IDO, IDO-1, INDO
About this gene: IDO1 encodes indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase - a heme enzyme that catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in tryptophan catabolism to N-formyl-kynurenine. This enzyme acts on multiple tryptophan substrates including D-tryptophan, L-tryptophan, 5-hydroxy-tryptophan, tryptamine, and serotonin. This enzyme is believed to play a role in a variety of pathophysiological processes such as antimicrobial and antitumor defense, neuropathology, immunoregulation, and antioxidant activity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3620; HGNC ID: HGNC:6059; UniProt: P14902; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002164.6; Chromosome location: 8p11.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
