Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human IMPA1 (inositol monophosphatase 1) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human IMPA1 qPCR Primer Set – inositol monophosphatase 1

Also known as: IMP, IMPA, MRT59

About this gene: IMPA1 encodes a enzyme that dephosphorylates myo-inositol monophosphate to generate free myo-inositol, a precursor of phosphatidylinositol, and is therefore an important modulator of intracellular signal transduction via the production of the second messengers myoinositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol. This enzyme can also use myo-inositol-1,3-diphosphate, myo-inositol-1,4-diphosphate, scyllo-inositol-phosphate, glucose-1-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-1-phosphate, beta-glycerophosphate, and 2'-AMP as substrates. This enzyme shows magnesium-dependent phosphatase activity and is inhibited by therapeutic concentrations of lithium.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3612; HGNC ID: HGNC:6050; UniProt: P29218; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005536.4; Chromosome location: 8q21.13

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
