SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human IL18 (interleukin 18, also called Iboctadekin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human IL18 qPCR Primer Set – interleukin 18
Also known as: IGIF, IL-18, IL-1g, IL1F4
About this gene: The IL18 protein is a proinflammatory cytokine of the IL-1 family that is constitutively found as a precursor within the cytoplasm of a variety of cells including macrophages and keratinocytes. The inactive IL-18 precursor is processed to its active form by caspase-1, and is capable of stimulating interferon gamma production, and of regulating both T helper 1 and Th2 responses. This cytokine has been implicated in the injury of different organs, and in potentially fatal conditions characterized by a cytokine storm.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3606; HGNC ID: HGNC:5986; UniProt: Q14116; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001562.4; Chromosome location: 11q23.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
