Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ID2 (inhibitor of DNA binding 2, also called bHLHb26) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human ID2 qPCR Primer Set – inhibitor of DNA binding 2

Also known as: GIG8, ID2A, ID2H, bHLHb26

About this gene: The ID2 protein belongs to the inhibitor of DNA binding family, members of which are transcriptional regulators that contain a helix-loop-helix domain but not a basic domain. Members of the inhibitor of DNA binding family inhibit the functions of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors in a dominant-negative manner by suppressing their heterodimerization partners through the HLH domains. The ID2 protein may play a role in negatively regulating cell differentiation.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3398; HGNC ID: HGNC:5361; UniProt: Q02363; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002166.5; Chromosome location: 2p25.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
