Human HTR2B qPCR Primer Set – 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2B
Also known as: 5-HT(2B), 5-HT-2B, 5-HT2B
About this gene: HTR2B encodes one of the multiple different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Serotonin is a biogenic hormone that acts as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. Serotonin receptors mediate many of the central and peripheral physiologic functions of serotonin, including regulation of cardiovascular functions and impulsive behavior.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3357; HGNC ID: HGNC:5294; UniProt: P41595; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000867.5; Chromosome location: 2q37.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
