SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human APCS (amyloid P component, serum, also called SAP) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human APCS qPCR Primer Set – amyloid P component, serum
Also known as: HEL-S-92n, PTX2, SAP
About this gene: The APCS protein is a glycoprotein, belonging to the pentraxin family of proteins, which has a characteristic pentameric organization. These family members have considerable sequence homology which is believed to be the result of gene duplication. The binding of the APCS protein to proteins in the pathological amyloid cross-beta fold suggests its possible role as a chaperone.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 325; HGNC ID: HGNC:584; UniProt: P02743; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001639.4; Chromosome location: 1q23.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
