SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human HSD3B7 (hydroxy-delta-5-steroid dehydrogenase, 3 beta- and steroid delta-isomerase 7) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human HSD3B7 qPCR Primer Set – hydroxy-delta-5-steroid dehydrogenase, 3 beta- and steroid delta-isomerase 7
Also known as: CBAS1, PFIC4, SDR11E3
About this gene: HSD3B7 encodes a enzyme which is involved in the initial stages of the synthesis of bile acids from cholesterol and a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily. The HSD3B7 protein is a membrane-associated endoplasmic reticulum protein which is active against 7-alpha hydrosylated sterol substrates. Mutations in HSD3B7 are linked to a congenital bile acid synthesis defect which leads to neonatal cholestasis, a form of progressive liver disease.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 80270; HGNC ID: HGNC:18324; UniProt: Q9H2F3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_025193.4; Chromosome location: 16p11.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
