Human PRMT1 qPCR Primer Set – protein arginine methyltransferase 1
Also known as: ANM1, HCP1, HRMT1L2, IR1B4
About this gene: PRMT1 belongs to the protein arginine N-methyltransferase family. Post-translational modification of target proteins by PRMTs plays an important regulatory role in many biological processes, whereby PRMTs methylate arginine residues by transferring methyl groups from S-adenosyl-L-methionine to terminal guanidino nitrogen atoms. The PRMT1 protein is a type I PRMT and is responsible for the majority of cellular arginine methylation activity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3276; HGNC ID: HGNC:5187; UniProt: Q99873; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001536.6; Chromosome location: 19q13.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
