SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human HMOX2 (heme oxygenase 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human HMOX2 qPCR Primer Set – heme oxygenase 2
Also known as: HO-2
About this gene: Heme oxygenase, an essential enzyme in heme catabolism, cleaves heme to form biliverdin, which is subsequently converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase, and carbon monoxide, a putative neurotransmitter. Heme oxygenase activity is induced by its substrate heme and by various nonheme substances. Heme oxygenase occurs as 2 isozymes, an inducible heme oxygenase-1 and a constitutive heme oxygenase-2.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 3163; HGNC ID: HGNC:5014; UniProt: P30519; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002134.4; Chromosome location: 16p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
