SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human HEPH (hephaestin, also called Hp) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human HEPH qPCR Primer Set – hephaestin
Also known as: CPL
About this gene: HEPH belongs to the multicopper oxidase protein family. The HEPH protein is involved in the transport of dietary iron from epithelial cells of the intestinal lumen into the circulatory system, and may be involved in copper transport and homeostasis. In mouse, defects in HEPH can lead to severe microcytic anemia.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9843; HGNC ID: HGNC:4866; UniProt: Q9BQS7; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001367233.3; Chromosome location: Xq12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
