SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GYPC (glycophorin C (Gerbich blood group), also called GPD) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GYPC qPCR Primer Set – glycophorin C (Gerbich blood group)
Also known as: CD236, CD236R, GE, GPC, GPD, GYPD, PAS-2, PAS-2'
About this gene: Glycophorin C is an integral membrane glycoprotein. The GYPC gene product is a minor species carried by human erythrocytes, but is important for regulating the mechanical stability of red cells. A number of glycophorin C mutations have been described.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2995; HGNC ID: HGNC:4704; UniProt: P04921; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002101.5; Chromosome location: 2q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
