SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GYG2 (glycogenin 2, also called GN2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GYG2 qPCR Primer Set – glycogenin 2
Also known as: GN-2, GN2
About this gene: GYG2 belongs to the the glycogenin family. Glycogenin is a self-glucosylating protein involved in the initiation reactions of glycogen biosynthesis. A gene on chromosome 3 encodes the muscle glycogenin and this X-linked gene encodes the glycogenin mainly present in liver; both are involved in blood glucose homeostasis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8908; HGNC ID: HGNC:4700; UniProt: O15488; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001079855.2; Chromosome location: Xp22.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
