SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GSTZ1 (glutathione S-transferase zeta 1, also called MAAI) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GSTZ1 qPCR Primer Set – glutathione S-transferase zeta 1
Also known as: GSTZ1-1, MAAI, MAAID, MAI
About this gene: GSTZ1 belongs to the glutathione S-transferase super-family which encodes multifunctional enzymes important in the detoxification of electrophilic molecules, including carcinogens, mutagens, and multiple therapeutic drugs, by conjugation with glutathione. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of maleylacetoacetate to fumarylacetoacatate, which is one of the steps in the phenylalanine/tyrosine degradation pathway. Deficiency of a similar gene in mouse causes oxidative stress.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2954; HGNC ID: HGNC:4643; UniProt: O43708; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_145870.3; Chromosome location: 14q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
