SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GRN (granulin precursor, also called PGRN) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human GRN qPCR Primer Set – granulin precursor
Also known as: CLN11, FTD2, GEP, GP88, PCDGF, PEPI, PGRN
About this gene: Granulins are a family of secreted, glycosylated peptides that are cleaved from a single precursor protein with 7.5 repeats of a highly conserved 12-cysteine granulin/epithelin motif. The 88 kDa precursor protein, progranulin, is also called proepithelin and PC cell-derived growth factor. Cleavage of the signal peptide produces mature granulin which can be further cleaved into a variety of active, 6 kDa peptides.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2896; HGNC ID: HGNC:4601; UniProt: P28799; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002087.4; Chromosome location: 17q21.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
