About this gene: GPER1 encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. This receptor binds estrogen and activates multiple downstream signaling pathways, leading to stimulation of adenylate cyclase and an increase in cyclic AMP levels, while also promoting intracellular calcium mobilization and synthesis of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate in the nucleus. The GPER1 protein therefore is involved in the rapid nongenomic signaling events widely observed following stimulation of cells and tissues with estrogen.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 2852; HGNC ID: HGNC:4485; UniProt: Q99527; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001098201.3; Chromosome location: 7p22.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
