SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human GNMT (glycine N-methyltransferase) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human GNMT qPCR Primer Set – glycine N-methyltransferase
Also known as: HEL-S-182mP
About this gene: The GNMT protein is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of S-adenosyl-L-methionine to S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and sarcosine. The GNMT protein is found in the cytoplasm and acts as a homotetramer. Defects in GNMT are a cause of GNMT deficiency.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 27232; HGNC ID: HGNC:4415; UniProt: Q14749; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018960.6; Chromosome location: 6p21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
